Effective Oct. 1, 2025, Honkamp Payroll, LLC, a payroll and human capital management company headquartered in Dubuque, Iowa, acquired Smart-HR, a respected firm based in Rochester, Minnesota.

Smart-HR is a full-service payroll and human capital management company. Honkamp Payroll is pleased to retain the talented team at Smart-HR, including owners Josh Haynes and Joel Goodew. Josh, Joel and their team will continue operating in Rochester, Minnesota.
